See you in Phnom Penh for the release of our next issue of DESK, a publication made by long-term members of Art & Copy Zine Club.

What will happen? Who will join? I’ve invited contributors to submit this time who are non-members, too, with a reading fee attached so as to cover our costs of reading more things than usual. I’m looking forward to seeing how this all flows together but that call for submissions is open to some who are invited by current members of our clubs, and just those people, this time, I’m afraid. We don’t need a lot of things, just a few things we like to see and that’s it. DESK is A4 so we have a lot of room for laying out artwork, too, and for now the artwork is done in-house but later we may change things.

This is a co-created exploration and ‘writing as experience’ kind of project. It’s not a product. We only make a small number of copies of each issue, usually sent to people who order via Instagram or our crowdfunding page. That’s it, though. It’s not an ‘operation of scale.’ It’s just us being us, together. Writing our stories. Sharing them. Reading them at the miniparties.
