Readings from the story, ‘Here Comes the Dance’. It was written from a conversation with a traveler passing through Battambang, while I was there, in 2017 on a side trip from Phnom Penh. At that time I was three years into my life in Cambodia and felt pretty good about that. This was different from the traveler, who was trying to leave the US, both of us well aware of the plight of living there… for people like us.
